kochchi
I think the botanical name is Capsicum frutescens but I could be mistaken on this. Google isn’t being very helpful.
Feel the burn, people.
Oh and if you don’t know what I’m talking about, then you’re well out of it.
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup

Yup it IS Capsicum frutescens, and apparently the English name is ‘bird pepper’.

Cool. But then this picture and description is all wrong.
I thought it belonged to the same family as the habanero so I made a wild assed guess

Aha..so maybe ‘Bird Pepper’ is the misnomer here. Those chillies don’t look like the traditional SL kochchi which is slightly longer, and you also get red and white kochchi on the same bush sometimes. I’ve seen several different types of kochchi even in SL so maybe they’re all sub-species of C. frutescens.

Oooh. I’ve only heard of the white kochchi, haven’t actually seen or tried any… I think.
I was chasing down the possibility that kochchi might be Capsicum baccatum (link here), but it’s a false alarm.
